Mark - Now that is different. Very pronounced beam of light. I do not think I have ever seen just one ray like that before.

Pretty neat right :-) The beach and the bay were separated by about four blocks and rarely did the two skies look similar. It was really cloudy at the beach that day so I guess there was just enough if an opening to let that beam through.

but I like this even better, maybe becasue it is so typical for the bay (John Carpenter's "The Fog", anyone ?)

Here's three from my visit to Pawtuckaway State Park. I'm going to go again soon when the leaves are better.

Here's a picture I took some weeks ago, in one of my favorite valleys. It was one of the first snowfall of the year.

This morning's sunrise in Canmore. I love this spot... it is only 5 minutes from home, and in the winter the sunrise direction is right in line with the creek. Plus sunrise isn't until 8:15 am now, so I don't even have to set an alarm.

Beauty, Jonathan. I bought a big Stopper a few weeks ago. Now I need someplace to go use it.

Awesome shot, Pierre. You can just see how crisp the air is there.

David, you're making me miss New England again. For the umpteenth million time.

jrw...thanks for posting the bulbexposures link. I purchased the Big Stopper a few months back and have found this site to be the most helpful for me.

    thanks again
