I'm sure he (she) was listening to the approaching thunderstorm.

mama bear wasnt very happy about having her picture taken. a lot of braches in the way but i kind of like the contrast. pretty hard to make adjustments on live bears , specialy when they are grumpy and 50 feet away lol

If anyone knows what's eating this snapping turtle's face, we're curious...

...And, here's my very brief documentary on the life-cycle of the frog:

    Interesting shots everyone.
Sedwards, I'm sure glad to see you still posting. David, well done on the documentary!

David, that seems to be a rather large and colorful leech.

Sedwards...until now, I had only seen those shots on my iPhone....which wasn't doing the bear justice. #1 and #2 are great.

So, I spent the past weekend in North and South Carolina to see some of my wife's family. Good trip for photography. I had no idea that North Carolina was so good for waterfalls. This was the first we stopped at...Looking Glass Falls just off the road near Brevard, NC in the Pisgah National Forest.

Just catching up with all the shots I've missed over the last few weeks. I enjoyed David's frog lifecycle and Brant's long exposures at the falls.

The bees are getting active now that the sun is out.

Brant - like all 3, but #2 is my favorite with the falls and the stream below.
