    My daughter and I spent the day yesterday at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Beautiful place and fun day! We only had time to see about 1/3 of it before we had to catch the train and head back home so we plan to go back again soon!

    More photos to come from the day! Since my Sigma 105mm macro is still under the testing period, please point out anything negative in the photos that I may not be noticing. Softness was intentionally added in post to the rose.

    I realize that for web sized images sharpness is always great, but these seem superb. I think you have a keeper!

    Wow! Nice floral images Denise & HD .... I am gonna have to find some time to work on my macro technique here soon ... great work!

    Denise ... the lens looks like it is functioning just fine to me as well.

    Had a few minutes late this afternoon to wander the edge of the woods behind the house and look for some macro opportunities

    I came up with a few images. although there was a slight breeze frustrating my focusing abilities.

    The first one is a butterfly on poison ivy with a texture added to the BG. The next is a flower, obviously, but I do not know the species.
