That's a great one, Dave --- the lines in the photo take your eye right to the lighthouse, making it a prominent feature. My only critique would be that the water line appears to be curved upwards very slightly on the right, which is likely due to normal wide-angle lens distortion. But I like how the image shows the rugged coast, emphasizing the importance of the lighthouse.

A picture from yesterday evening. We had a pretty active storm, which is always impressive in the mountains, and then everything was calm again. I was walking on the balcony of my parents chalet when I noticed that there was some sun going through the clouds on the mountains on the other side of the valley. I took my camera and ran to a place where I knew I would have a clear view. Here is the result, a five pictures panorama. The main mountains are the "Dent de Morcles" (2969m) on the left side and the "Grand Chavalard" (2899m) the little triangle on the right.

Lots of herring gulls, a tern and a mute swan were enjoying the surf at Cruden Bay yesterday.

That's my last capture before i went "off" for a few intense days.

I tried many composition with different apertures, but this one, at last, was the most satyisfying for me.
