Canon EOS 5D Mark III | First Thoughts

You raised my hopes with the question. Exhilaration lasted until I cracked open the manual. Suppose all that training using center point only with 5D2 may pay off yet. Considering that I only use spot metering for birds and the like, I don't think I'll notice the lack of ability to move it with the AF point at least until I shift the AF point by accident.

All of the metering modes are centre based. Must be reserved for 1 series bodies to allow shifting that around.

I don't use Spot Metering much but it is one of the reasons I'm having a second thoughts about selling my 1Ds mkII.

We get it, you hate new gear. The 1DX probably sucks too. The 1Ds III is just as good after all......

Fanboys are one thing but hating just to hate is just as bad if not worse.

Inferred I suppose, but you posted a lackluster "real world" review in a thread based on 5DIII observations. Am I to assume it's mot to inflame rather to retort? With a history of anti-gear head rhetoric, somehow not surprised.
