Sorry it has taken me so long with getting this together. Hopefully some of you will find it useful. Here is a mini tutorial on focus stacking. I made it a blog post instead of adding it here so you could see larger scale pictures of just where the focus was in each particular picture. I also decided to make its own bug blog and am really only going to post bugs on that site now. Don't think any perspective clients are going to like me mixing my hobby with there family photos. Now just to figure out how to remove the other stuff and transfer.
Very nice Jayson, Thank you!
Thanks, Jayson.
Joel, nice capture. The 180 is a fantastic lens, I just need to work on my internal IS.

A lot of really great shots being posted. Here is one with 100mm L.

I did a single shot HDR rendition of the above shot, and it is considerably sharper and more detailed. Here is the single shot HDR version for comparison.

Very nice single-shot HDR, Pat! Did you do that in DPP or NIK HDR Efex Pro?
Sweet...Honey Bee Love the HDR.
Thank you. I did it with DPP.
"Sweet...Honey Bee" - that is funny
I have been trying DPP HDR tool on various pictures. It does not work all that well for multi-shot HDR landscapes (leaves get all messed up because of movement), but the single shot attempts seem to really sharpen up the shot and the detail pops a lot more. I doesn't work for everything, but it does seem to help a lot with bugs and high detailed macros.
