Has it really been an entire month since I posted a photo of one of my pooches!?

nawww, everyone loves Pugs.
and lambs, everyone loves lambs. Both cute and tasty.
And damn frustrating, 2-hours old and they walk sooo sloooowly trying to get them into a shed so they don't get Foxed overnight (as one already did).
But these two are the oldest set of twins, taken with my 'other' new pet, I finally got a Pentacon Six body and ran some expired Agfa Portra 160 through it to check frame spacing. Not even a light-meter, just chucked the lens on my 7D, got a rough aperture/speed, then ran outside and shot with the waist-level finder. All 12 properly exposed, that's a first.
So here's my new pets, shot with my new pet:
An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

You gotta a love a pug shot. And your lambs are cute as well Doc.
I'll offer a few of Bo, being dragged around the back yard on his new harnesss. And come back a little later with another pug shot of my own.

From my flickr description:
"A friend's dog in their yard.
This turned into a bit of an experiment. I did a cross processing curve, and really liked the background, but lost a lot of detail on the dog's face. If I fixed up the darks for the face, I didn't get the pop in the background and the ball toy that I loved... so why not try to mix the two.
The green (background, foreground grass, ball) is a typical cross processing curve. The dog has the same curve adjusted so that lower end of the curve is normal. These two exposures were placed on layers, and a layer mask added to the top layer. I painted black onto the mask to cut out the dog's body shape, and all the holes in the toy where the dog was visible. Then a 5 or 6 pixel Gaussian blur was done on the mask to remove sharp edges.
Voila. A pup with some pop."
The background is also a nice example of 50mm f/1.8 bokeh.
