This looked great on the camera LCD (sounds familiar?), but now I wish it had a little more DoF.
Fortunately the place (Alviso) is very close and has a lot of air traffic in the evening hours. The birds like the old salt ponds at the end of the SF bay.

nice shots Franco. Were these lucky shots while you were waiting for something else, or how did you get them? These birds usually don't sit in the same spot for long.

Lol, I was actually just walking on the streets..then I saw them so I stalked them for a block and took a few shots of them behind some wallsIt was kinda lucky for me to take these shots.

Thanks (my bad grammar not withstanding). I used -2/3 exposure compensation and looking at the photo it appears I could have gone to -1 or even -4/3. White feathers don't exactly photograph well... The shadows help on the neck but not on the wings. Of course, not having to crop the middle 1.5 MP from my image would have been nice too...
