[] Thanks. He was bigger than most of the high school football team... while he was still in middle school. It really stands out because the rest of the photos in this album are like the following photo of my cousin. I love skipping out on fill, but the lack of backlight really ruins the photo IMHO.

did a little vignette asa well..... any thoughts on what's wrong or how to improve the shot is welcome...... I did notice that I blew out some of the details on the left side of the picture......

Recent shot from a wedding. Still not sure if weddings are where I want to head with my photography, it's very hectic but a lot of fun. Time will tell I suppose, I have a few more coming up so they might either make or break me!

    5D2, 24 - 70mm f/2.8L @48mm, f/6.3, ISO 100. 1/400 sec. Plenty of photoshop. Thanks for looking, C & C welcome as always.

    Cheers, Ben.

    Hi Rob,

The pseudo tilt-shift blur was intentional. I guess I wanted to emphasise the centre of frame with the bouquet and their upper bodies because the foreground really didn

I agree with Rob...the rather crude emulation of tilt shift is a big distraction. If you want to emphasize the center of the frame, try adding a slight vignetting instead. A slight vignetting around the edges will help draw the eye without being terribly noticeable.
