Me: Hi, any update on EOS 1D X deliveries?

B&H rep: ...I will be glad to assist you. Please give me a few moments to begin working on your inquiry.

Me: Ok, thank you.

B&H rep: There is a shipment on the way to B&H, it will arrive after the 4th of July holiday

Me: Excellent news! Can you give me any idea if my place in the pre-order queue is high enough that it's likely I'll get one from this shipment?

B&H rep: Sure will

Congrats John, it seems that the day is almost at hand.

I am anxious to see the IQ and resolution comparisons between the 5D III and 1D X once the camera starts getting in peoples hands. Even a 5D II vs 1D X comparison would be interesting.

My order status says "In stock, order sent to warehouse," and 'pending' for the tracking number. I assume (hope?) that means it'll be packed on Sunday/Monday, picked up by UPS on Monday, and delivered on Tuesday (Brooklyn to me in Boston is overnight with standard/free UPS ground). Sadly, I'll be down in New Jersey for the day on Tuesday (leaving at 6a and getting back at 10p), so even if it arrives Tuesday, I won't get my hands on it until Wednesday.
