I recently went back to the pond with the different groups of loons.

This is one of the "Latch Key Loons" (two juveniles with no parental supervision)...it looks like they have moulted their baby feathers and have a gray color now, instead of the adult black.

I found the two adults with one chick. They were still feeding the chick....@400 mm, 1/200, f/5.6, ISO 160

I am playing around with increasing the sharpness before converting. Please let me know if it is too much.

    Thanks....Brant

Nice images Brant, I like 2 and 5 the most and the head shaking in 4 and water drops are good.

    Very cute picture Bouwy.....

Steve, glad you liked some of loon/turtle pics....

As many of you have probably heard, Hurricane Irene is headed along the east coast of the US and finally hitting New England on Sunday. I have seen a lot of predictions as to what it will be like where I live in Southern New Hampshire (and not far from BillW and Neuro in Massachusetts), but it is going to be close. So, I decided to take down a couple of trees today that could fall and hit the house. When I hired a guy to remove the trees....I really didn't expect him to climb them....but that is what he did, ropes tied off to the trees around him.......

Below is a shot I took early this morning from a moving vehicle. I had never seen fog like this in the open countryside! It was truly breathtaking!

That is an amazing picture Denise! I really like the different tones that flow into each other. Very nice []

I think Personally I would probably clone out the water-tower or whatever it is. But again, it's a beautiful photo as it is.[Y]
