Thanks Arnt! I really hope it doesn't turn into something big, but it probably will. Funny how he's building it in the wide open on the deck post????

Thanks Denise! I actually just rested the hood of the lens on the side of the post and moved my flash where it was needed. I was watching the kids so no tripod and I don't own a macro rail. The ones that I didn't rest the hood were all blurry.

Here are a couple more...that thing beside him is a nail head. That's how small this guy is...

It is amazing how much stuff came out of that little insect (nest material that is).
Again, your shots are beyond belief how detailed they get. To be able focus stack without a tripod has to take some effort.

Thank you Pat for the compliments! I was happy she just stuck with what she had previously completed. I haven't seen her back or her men . To focus stack on some of the stuff I have been, I usually have a good place to brace me or the camera. Most of the time, I rest the hood of the camera on the something solid that happens to be in the area and just move it back and forth. It actually works really well. This last shot I couldn't use my easy method in PP because she kept moving her legs and there was ghosting everywhere. I had to take 4 or 5 shots and individually blend them together after they were all aligned.

Finally got an opportunity to attempt focus stacking....this little guy was very calm, I placed him in a shallow box and was able to get several shots. This one was a stack of 4 images.

Joel, you are expanding your collection and doing a fine job at that, This is a nice one for sure.

The butterfly is real nice, but I really like the salamander.
