    It should be the same species, I'm in Washington state. Mabye the very saturated colors make it more exotic looking.

    Nate, I didn't think you could improve on your last shot. But you did anyway.That is the best Mandarin shot I have seen, period! There is nothing to critique about it, it's amazing.

    Canon 7D,300mm 2.8 with 1.4 TC, 1/2000,f4.0,ISO 250, tripod,auto focus.


    those eagles didn't fly away even I got as close I could to them, so this was a easy shot.


    BTW, does anybody know if there is a easy way to know what name of the birds you captured
    ? thanks

    Nate, as Fast Glass said I've never thought you could improve from your already-perfect shots, but once again I'm amazed!


    How many hours in a week do you spend on getting these shots by the way?
