Keeping my fingers crossed that the next copy will be perfect!
Hmmm ...what is one to do when you totally blow out the side of a face from direct bright sun and your subject has absolutely no patience if you were to ask him to move into more even lighting?
Answer: Use LOTS of vignetting and hope nobody notices!
Nice shots with that new lens Denise. Primes just do it so well.
Here are a few from the storm that hit Brisbane this afternoon.

Crazy skies like that, zombies walking the earth......this is a sign of something...something really bad.
Great pictures Steve. The first looks very angry....the second, I like how it looks like light and darkness are mixing....almost fighting each other....
Wow, Steve! I hope you ran for cover after taking these photos! That looks like one heck of a storm coming your way!
Ever wonder what goes through your dogs head sometimes when he sees you doing what you do? After seeing me laying on the ground, I think Lucky is wondering if I am ok and is ready to pull a Lassie and run for help! On second thought ...Lucky? Maybe not!
Wow... really nice shots, Denise. The first is my favorite.
I often try for that warm sunset look, but can never seem to pull it off But you hit that one perfectly.
Looks like it was a little windy over in Wisconson yesterday.
It was a bit breezy over on the Michigan sideof Lake Michigan also. Here are a couple from yesterday:
