Thanks guys and gals. Denise, all these shots were taken with a 40d and a 300mm f4L IS (@f4, IS off) tripod mounted. Camera settings were aperture priority mode and ISO 200. I also tried using the 85mm f1.8, 60mm f2.8, and 70-200mm f4L; however, getting farther away from the dogs with the 300 seemed to work the best (i.e., so they weren

Went and took some snaps at a local triathalon today. It was held in Raby Bay, which is a coastal suburb close to where I live in Brisbane. Raby Bay is a part of the suburb Cleveland and they use the harbour for the swim leg and have different coloured caps for the different divisions. There were the full-on pro athletes there and the beginners and some who looked as though their doctor should have advised them not to compete just yet. But it's not about the winning it is about finishing.

Everyone who finishes is a winner, but this girl actually won the open female division.

    Thanks for viewing.

dsiegel....very nice pix of the pups.

All of our (adult) dogs and (adult) cats over the past 25 yrs have been rescues....these pix hit home.

Do you offer your pix to the Humane Society to post on their web site?

    Thanks for sharing

You are right Bill, only a part Tri, while there were some serious competitors, there were some taking it pretty easy. Stay warm.

C'mon Steve, Thats not even two bottles per person---what kind of lightweight lunch is that among friends?I am also a bit disspointed that you didn't knock the bottom off of one of those bottles and place it on the end of your camera---just to see what your friends looked like all "green and distorted"------Glad you had a good time [B][B][B]

    Cheers,
