Sorry, I should have provided a little more information.
Both were shot with a 7D with a B&W polarizer filter.
The first one:
- Shot with a 100-400mm <span style="color: #ff0000;"]L at 260mm.
- Camera settings of Tv=1/250 sec, Av=f/9, and ISO=200
The second one:
- Shot with a 24-105mm f/4<span style="color: #ff0000;"]L at 24mm
- Used a Cokin Grad ND filter over the polarizer
- Camera settings of Tv=91 sec, Av=f/18, and ISO=200

@Pat, Love the red of the building on the pier and the detail and contrast in the rocks is very good in the second one. Sometimes hard to get that so right when dealing with sunset/sunrise. Nice work.
@ Denise, another two classy B&W's, very different treatments, even though there is a large dark area of little detail in the first one, I actually like this shot the best, composition is perfect and the treatment is very artistic. Well done.

A little over a week ago, I visited my parents in New Hampshire, and we took a hike up Mt Eisenhower. The full set is available at: https://picasaweb.google.com/107691146535396952671/Eisenhower2011 I just posted that I felt were the best of the lot. There are also a number of vacation-style snapshots included.
A nicely framed view of the foliage in the valley.
7D ISO 400 1/4000 24-105@24 f4
Looking toward Mt Washington. Looking back on this, I should have pulled out my polarizer for this shot.
7D ISO 200 1/500 24-105@24 f/6.3
On the summit cone. A little ahead of the rest of my party.

Looking up the ridge. This time captured my own shadow

Joe, I've been meaning to comment, but nice photos, in particular, I like 1 & 3.
To keep the string of New Hampshire photos going, Sunday I went to "Castle in the Clouds." which is more of a very nice house with an amazing view of the Lakes region of central New Hampshire....I usually don't mess with photos too much, but there was some interesting light coming through the clouds, so I tried to excentuate it.

Nice landscape shots guys.
Australia just took delivery of its final lot of F/A18 Hornets and we were told this was a once in a life time fly over when you get just over 2 billion dollars worth of jet fighters flying in one little group. So they shut down the air space over Brisbane for a 20 minute period and these 20 "top guns" buzzed the city.
