Let me be the first to welcome the little guy to the forums! You & his grandma should be very proud of him, his outdoor portrait lighting skills are better than mine! Ok kid, tell me how you managed to not get any shadows on grandma's face! I know I could learn alot from this little guy!
Welcome to the young fellow Brian.
Jonathan that osprey shot is a beauty, well done.

As promised here are some of my favorites from the trip to acadia. I still have quite a few left to go through, but here are some I have gotten to so far.

The first two were actually shot on the Skyline drive in Shenandoah National Park just about 1 hour after sunrise.

This was actually a combination of 3 exposures. Of varying shutter speeds. I think the longest was 10 seconds. Taken just after sunset.

The last three were all taken in Acadia National Park. The first is marshlands near the Bass Harbor lighthouse, which is the subject of the second shot. The third is a shot of a round rock beach with Otter Cliff in the distance.
Thanks for looking all! Lemme know what I could have done better!
Dave.

Dave, really like #1 and #3.
Thought I would stick this one here. It was raining, still very dark, but took this one at 21mm @f2.8 for 30 seconds.
I was in two minds whether to stay or go. I could not see the water from where I was and the previous shot @f16 was totally black. I'm glad I stayed.
Can you find me in the picture?

Nice image- middle shadow on the right side.
Great shots, Dave. Makes me miss home. Just up the road from Rocky Neck is the Niantic Book barn. Great place for used books, cats, and photography.
