@bouwy. Nice shot. I think it might be a poppy....not 100% sure though...

I've got more. This girl deserves to be seen full size as her eyes are special as well. Follow the Flickr link via the image if you can take it.

Found a bunch of old files that I hadn't processed yet, this was amongst them.
5D Mark II, 24-70mm f/2.8L @ 24 mm, f/4, 1/100 sec, ISO 200
Wide Open Spaces by Ben__Taylor, on Flickr
On another note - I bought the Canon 17-40mm f/4L yesterday, couldn't justify the expense of the 16-35mm f/2.8L with minimal increase in IQ compared to the 17-40mm. I believe the 14mm f/2.8 will be in my kit at some stage but this will suffice for the time being. I'd like to convert my kit to predominantly primes at some stage.
Enjoy,
Ben

EDIT--I hope this isn't bad etiquette, but I got to work and looked at the photos I posted and wasn't that happy with them. These are essentially the same photos, same shot/different lens, but I spent a little more time on processing and selecting the photo....

My first try at shooting the Milky Way. I am visiting relatives in southwest Utah for awhile and decided to rent the 24mm f/1.4 and try some night time shots.

Those are really nice shots of the rose buds! I am not ready though for my roses to look like that yet!
Also, very nice sky shot, Baker! Really beautiful!
My daughter and I took advantage of the beautiful weather today & took the dogs down by Lake Michigan for awhile. It also gave me a chance to try out my 2nd copy of the Sigma 50mm 1.4 that came today!
