So there was an October Nor'easter/powerful snow storm over the weekend. In New Hampshire 6-12 inches of snow fell (I've heard reports as high as 24 inches in isolated areas) which is very unusual for October. There were wide spread power outages from Pennsylvania to New Hampshire (NH had 300,000 w/o power at the peak). While this wasn't a great foliage year around here, snow and what is left of the foliage is a unique combo....so I took a drive after the storm.

The snow has mostly melted by now and I believe most have their power back (mine was out 38 hrs).

Ha, I heard about that storm, and the first thing I thought of was that it would make great pics with autumn leaves against the snow (but I would have felt a bit weird requesting some, expecially since it was a bit of a deadly storm).
Love the first one for all the colours, third one too, just beautiful.
An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

Great shots Brant. I like the Harrier(?) but my fav is the crane, great POV, comp and light!
Cheers

Wow Brant those are some awesome photos! I love the way the colorful fall foliage looks with the snow-covered ground. At least something good came out of the storm - some very unique photo opportunities!

Thanks everyone. Glad you liked the pics. The snow is mostly gone and everyone I know has their power back (but some just got it back on Friday). It will actually be in the high 60
