Kayaker:
I really like a the fall colors and snow together. That would be neat to see.
Nice birds too.

Re: Post your best current shots
Great shots Brant. Glad we haven't seen snow here yet, but we did catch the same weather system a few days later. Fortunately it was just a bit wet and windy by the time it had crossed the Atlantic, and today we had the same blue sky and sunshine that you enjoyed after the storm, so off I went with the camera...

Looking at this now, I think I should have also tried a polariser to cut the reflections from the wet rock on the left.

Andy - Nice shooting, as always! I typically use polarizers with waterfalls, but really it's a matter of choice. Sometimes the rocks look good with a reflective shine.
It is "shoulder season" in the mountains, too late for hiking & biking, but still a tad early for skiing. So it's nice and quiet ---- the perfect time to get out for photography.

I also went for a stroll in Marble Canyon, which is normally packed with tourists in the summer but totally devoid of people today... very nice. These branches were near the waterfall, and frosted up due to the spray.
Canon 5D2, 70-200 f/2.8 lens, 1/640 sec @ f/8, ISO 100. (I should have used f/11 or f/16 for just a bit more depth of field.... oh well.)

Re: Post your best current shots
Andy - Nice shots. I usually have a polarizing filter on my camera when I am shooting waterfalls so I can see the detail in the rocks better, but what irritates me is when I go from landscape to portrait and forget to rotate the filter... and then I do not notice until later when I get home. It happens way to often. You would think I would learn after awhile.

Re: Post your best current shots
For Autumn shots everyone seem to have close-ups that isolate a leaf or a few leaves. Sorry... it is probably over done, but here is my version.
Found this leaf floating along the shallow edge of a pond with the dew of the morning still on it. I just wish it was flipped over to the colorful side.
