don't grip so hard. Let your fingers slide around and slip as you untwist it. Just keep doing it, letting your fingers go full circle, gently, and it may come off more easily than you'd expect.

Otherwise, you can use a hammer?

Relax, go get yourself a cup of coffee or a soda, go back and try again. Or you can give it to another person to uncrew it for you.The most imbrassing moment of my life is when I had a stuck filter and my mom got it off without any effort.[]

    thanks Colin and nguyen,

I think this stupid filter loves my lens so much, it's still stuck on the lens no matter what I tried.i didn't know there is a tool called "Lens Filter Wrench" I will definitly try that before using the hammer. thank you guys again!

Try pressing the filter gently against a non slip surface and twisting the lens counter-clockwise. Sometimes works.

it's a porilizer, i think it was the inner ring(very thin) stuck on the lenes. i guess it should be a lot easier if it's a UV filter. I read some reviews on Amazon before i bought this B+W porilizer, and It seemed like nobody mentioned this problem(maybe I missed it) I think people should be aware of this problem before they buy or mount this otherwise very nice filter.

The little rubber mats that work for jar lids also give enough grip to get the filter turning when they stick. My circular polarizing has a habit of sticking to the EF70-200 F/2.8. I've always gotten it off with the rubber grip. For a second use, the mat makes a nice place to sit filters while you're making a change. I hate dropping filters into the Plican caseor balancing them on some makeshift surface.

I second Nhut's recommendation for the wrench. I used to have tons of problems with my 77mm b+2 thin circular polarizer. No problem with the wrench.
