New lens for museums and landscapes?

I am about to take a family trip to Maryland. We are going to stop at all the typical tourist spots and may venture into D.C.. I am wondering if going to the museums and scenic stops will provide a need for a wide angle lens. I use a 7D and my two wider lenses are a sigma 30mm f/1.4 and a Canon 24-70 f/2.8. I would most likely get the Canon 10-22 if there is a call. I have noticed that my 24-70 limits me sometimes and I am a little concerned about not being able to frame a large nearby subject.

Any thoughts are appreciated on the lens or good places to visit.

The Tokina 11-16mm is a sweet lens and the f2.8 comes in very handy.

Never been there.. but quick search shows you shouldn't have trouble finding a museum that interest you or your family

as for lens I have a 10-22 and must say i really really like it.

I've only been to one museum since I purchased it, I would not have been able to get a couple shots without it.

Most museums probably don't house massive tractors with 6'+ front wheels.. but If they do I can recommend the 10-22 as a handy lens to have along.

Love my 10-22. Really nice lens. Very sharp, reasonably controlled distortion, and with such low 1/fl shutter speeds, it's fast enough for most indoor shots. Plus it is really good with regards to lens flare. I have shots with the sun in the frame and no flare.
