I am in the process of developing my own web page and I would like to include several links to websites I find useful and informative. Should I ask for publishers permission to add links to my website? What is considered good etiquette?

I don't see anything wrong with you adding their links. I use it most of the time on my website (which I shut down before). You could give them a heads up that you added them to your site (and maybe they'll do the favor of adding you).

Thanks Ralph---Thats what I thought, but wanted to hear the opinions of others.

If possible, do not direct link a specific portion of the website. Rather link to the main site and explain how to get there e.g. (to know more about flash, visit xxx's feature's section under tips and tricks)
Good Idea, Thanks Ralph
Bob
To add to the above, if you're going to link to this site, Bryan has helpfully provided code and graphics.
