2023 - Image of the Month for February

Welcome to TDP forum's Image competition. Photographers may submit their images. Winners will then compete on quarterly, and in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Forum Image of the Year."

• February 1st entry period will be from February 1st through/including February 28th or there are 6 entries with more than 2 weeks left to the month (in which case we'll have a multiple polls).
• Please provide a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• You may make two entries per period. If the total number of entries exceeds 10, unless otherwise specified, the first entry will be added to the poll.
• A bi-monthly poll will be open for 3 days, if it is for the entire month, it will be open for 5 days.

This could have been called "Failure to Launch" or "Scrubbed". Mike (Busted Knuckles) and I were down taking photos at Merritt Island NWR and made at attempted at an overnight SpaceX launch. The mission was scrubbed with 2 minutes to go, but as I turned around from where I had set up, I saw this. A quick set up, but it reminded me of some old photography advise...remember to turn around...the best shot is often behind you.
