Canon 50mm 1.4 MKII?

I'm just wondering if Canon will upgrade its successful 50mm 1.4 to Mark II. I wanted to get this lens so badly but its micro USM keeps & hold me back from purchasing one (i get to borrow. I think its time to update it to a real Ring USM like its big brothers. Don't you think so???

there's a post in canon rumors website that there is a new 50mm 1.4 II but i don't know if canon is really gonna come up with a new one. i'd like to have one though and upgrade my 50mm 1.8

Upgrade to what? A fast lens, good low light focus, low weight, relatively unobtrusive, strategically priced.. Paint it white? Anyone heard of manual focus?

Having Ring USM rather than micro USM might probably increase its AF speed & accuracy! It could definitely need an aspherical element or a UD element just like the Sigma 50mm1.4 which starts out sharp wide open!
