lenses for studio photos
Hi,
I just purchased a 60D to use for photo and video production.
I am a fine artist, paintings from 30"x40" to 12feet wide to 6 feet high.
and ceramics that are anywhere from 50" high and 50" wide.
and I am going to make videos of my working on the potters wheel.
I am looking for some lenses to take photos with the camera on a tripod.
to produce videos with and a great walk around lens that will NOT break the bank.
Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Define 'break the bank'... In fact, if your main use is studio shooting in a controlled environment, you'll be fine with even an 18-135mm lens. Spend your money on a backdrop and some lighting, and you can shoot at f/6.3 or f/7.1. Most of my studio-type portraits are shot at narrow apertures because I can control the background and the lighting.
The exception might be the murals - you'll want a lens with low distortion, or with a zoom lens, you'll need enough room to shoot in the middle of the range, and frame loosely so you can correct residual distortion in post (and shoot from a tall tripod at the level of the middle of the painting to avoid keystoning).
