Watching and Waiting.
I don't normally shot Vultures, but this one was coming right toward me and I couldn't pass it up.

I wish I came across these type of birds. The wildests I get to see are roe deer, buzzards, falcons and a few tiny sandlizzards []
How long do you normally watch and wait?

Black Vultures and Turkey Vultures are quite common around here. All you need to do is look up and you'll probably see them circling around somewhere. Most of the time they are circling pretty high in the sky where it's not worthwhile to take a pictures.
When it comes to other big birds around here I will sit and wait if I can see they will move closer.
Nice shot!
Using your 50D and 100-400L I presume?
