    Muted Colors: C&C

Hi everyone! I've been playing around with some post-processing and I thought I could ask your take on this one. Well, I just wanted to achieve a somewhat muted colors going towards those photos that are neither black and white and colored. Some sort of a mix of the two. Not really a color isolation but an over-all effect.

    Thank you in advance.

I like it, generally speaking...but I think the vignetting is a tad heavy.

Thanks Sean! The vignette was a little extra.. I guess I need to practice on those vignette how-to-do-it stuff.
    Cheers!

How did you do the vignetting?

Hahaha.. Filled a layer with black and cut-out an oval feathered then reduced the opacity.
    Cheers!

Typically I add a brightness/contrast layer, do a feathered oval selection (or feathered aspect ratio the same as my image) and paint the inside of the selection black (making my adjustment mask white on the outside). Then I can adjust the brightness and contrast independently as well as the opacity (if necessary). I also tend not to do as obviouis a vignette--just enough to draw the viewer's eye in, but not enough for the viewer to really notice it. That said, a vignette's obviousness is all about taste.

Thank you again Sean for the tip. I'll gonna try this when I get home.

I agree on this one as I am not really a big fan of vignette but I just want to try it out for a change I might like, right? []

Thanks Rich! Actually, I am quite happy with this output as I have been tweaking on it for several days. []
