    Jupiter and Saturn in the "Great Conjunction"

    It almost sounds like a movie....

    Just letting you all know that this is going on:

    Jupiter, Saturn will look like a double planet in rare celestial event on Dec. 21 - The Boston Globe

    I might try to figure something out. I am not sure what just yet.....

    Thanks for the head's up Brant. Curious to see what you come up with for a photo. My thought is that generally images of planets will need a very long lens (or telescope) to be able to see any details to distinguish them from stars.

    I am definitely going to try to get something. I've tried shooting both with minimal luck in the past, so hoping to give it the old college try again.
