    Recent Shots

Hi all. I just wanted to post some pics I took today. I can't post them to flickr just yet because I want to finish up posting the wedding pictures I took on Saturday first. However, this shoot was so much fun I just couldn't wait to share.

That was actually the only shot I had in mind when planning for the location. I agonized over how to execute that particular shot. I ended stacking two flashes on the ground (1 red gelled, 1 orange gelled) and created the stick pyramid around them. Then I used an orange-gelled flash shot through an Alzo Porta Flash softbox in order to light the subject. However, I had a big problem with unwanted flare. That shot was the best of the setup, though.

I finally posted the photos to flickr; as a result I changed the links to go there instead of google photos. The pictures display smaller, but if you want to find out the strobist info, you can find it on the flickr page.

    Wow! []

You definetalty have talent for this, Sean.

You have the technical know-how and artistic eye that makes your work stand out and leave an impression. And number 3 seals the deal.

Fantastic, and keep up the good work!

Well I'm glad to know people like #3. That was the shot I wanted when planning the shoot, and it turned out to be my favorite as well. It was the most technically challenging, and I wasn't sure if I liked it simply because of the work that went into getting it. We almost didn't do that particular location because it was rather difficult to get to because of how steep and slippery the ground was.

Your're right, #3 is the most technically challenging but I think #2 sums it up. I would really like to see #2 with #4's lighting. That would've been da bomb!! []

Nice portraits Sean. I envy your ability to experiment with different subjects.

    I'll second that.
