Wanting to sell 1D Mark IV how much?

I have decided to sell my 1D Mark IV. It's in great shape and has an extra canon OEM battery and the grid focusing screen.

What does a fair realistic price seem to be?

I will give you 500 bucks cash for it….

    But…

When Canon has a refurb it goes for $3,999.

I think you could get about that.

I let mine go for £2700 to my best mate, who wanted to evolve from his 5D2, and is now a very happy bunny

    I'll swap it for a 7D!

Nah, it's worth about as much as a 5D3, on ebay i've seen them go for $3300-$4100 or so, depending on condition and any accessories (and how well you write the listing, most of the time a high-starting price gets one bid, a low starting price gets bid up higher than that).
Still, if I had the cash i'd be interested, that's a tough call between a 1D4 and 5D3...

Mick, was that price for the 1d4 and battery? Good find if it was.
Words get in the way of what I meant to say.

The price was for a 1D4, two batteries, a side grip and new bigger eye piece. Got it yesterday, totally blown away. Makes my 7D seen slow and like a toy. And its so new you can smell it like a new car. Managed to get a female bullfinch "in flight" pin sharp, the hardest wildlife shots to get.
