    Thinking about the Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8...

as a dedicated portrait lens over 85 1.2 II or the 85 Zeiss. I think it is a rarely used lens that might be that little something different and still be able to be the same if need be. I'm aware it is manual focus where the 85 II is not.

Anyone use this lens. Thought, opinions?

TS lens are specialty len, I haven't seen one in real life yet. I think you should rent it.

Yeah, I have never seen one in the wild either. After reading Bryan's review and seeing his samples, I want one.

I may have to rent one. But that will make me miss it when it's gone and then I will buy one only to find I hardly use it.

I use mine frequently for 'product' type shots, where the tilt is very useful for altering the plane of focus. This lens can also be used as an effective macro lens with extension tubes.

It is very sharp, but does take some learning and understanding to get the best out of - like all of the TS-E's
