I need to update my circular polarizer, any comments on the the choices.
Price is not the main factor, image quality is.

I have three B+W Kaesemann CP's, this one is by far the best. Better IQ than the other three and better color.

6. What is a Kaesemann polarizer? Käsemann was an independent German company renowned for manufacturing some of the highest quality polarizer materialin the world. Schneider Krueznach purchased the company in 1989. The quality and consistency of Käsemann material is uniform and neutral in color. In addition, the latest cementing technique used on these filters is guaranteed to prevent delamination. Moisture from humidity will destroy polarizing material if delamination occurs and this cementing technique protects the material by preventing delamination. Käsemann Polarizers are available in Linear and Circular. Note: The circular type comes with MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) through 95mm.

I don't know if they cut corners anywhere to get better prices, but Marumi multi-coated circular polarizing filters are, IMHO anyway, a quality filter at quite an affordable price. I've never used B+W so I can't compare, but I've happy with the Marumis so far.

I find the Hoya HD Circ Pols very good, price is reasonable, image quality excellent.

I have a B+W MRC CPL 72 mm thread for my EFS 15-85. I am sometimes not completely pleased with color temperature with it on, but I am very pleased with the effect and sharpness. I have a B+W Kaesemann MRC CPL 77 mm thread for the 10-22 and 100-400. I actually don't recall any similar concerns on color temp with the Kaesemann, but I use it significantly less and have never really looked.

So, I am pretty happy with the two CPLs I have and would recommend them, I have been tempted by the Singh Ray "LB" polarizers (get polarization while sacrificing less light--both a pro and a con depending on how you want to use the filter) and the Singh Ray "Blue-n-Gold" polarizer. I believe Jonathan used the Blue-n-Gold for his recent artic trip to great effect in a couple of shots.
