2020 - Image of the Week #51

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Forum Image of the Year."

• Week 51 entry period will be from Monday, December 14th through/including Sunday, December 20th.
• Please provide a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Tounis.

"BACK OFF BUDDY!"

Female Pileated WP was feeding on bits of suet that had fallen to the ground when a squirrel approached a bit too close. The squirrel ran for the trees when she flared her wings. Too bad I was not prepared and had zoomed in a bit too much so I didn't get both wing tips ....

Some very nice pictures this week. The nod goes to Brant's "High Ground". I like the very dynamic position of both birds and the fact that they are looking at each other. Thank you all for a very interesting week, I had to go back and forth a few times to chose a winner.
