I went out early yesterday hoping to see a bear. Then I saw this! Two young grizzlies, play fighting.

All outstanding entries, and so many unusual subjects!

The color and tone of the background of Northern Flicker enhance the fine shot of the bird, and the pose and perch together make an appealing composition.

David took care to make the shots of the leucistic and wild-type chipmunks as close to congruent as possible.

I know that Stephen first posted about his astrophotography only a few weeks ago, so that it is remarkable to see what he can already accomplish with the Eastern Veil Nebula. The colors are eye-catching.

The intense stare of The Sentry is certainly riveting.

In “show-biz” an actor is warned never to appear with kids or animals, because the actor will be upstaged. Young animals would seem the worst case.

I feel that Sibling Rivalry just manages to upstage the other fine work, and it is this week’s winner.

    Congratulations Jonathan!
