Apple Glossy LCD monitor color calibration

I am looking to purchase a monitor color calibration system for an Apple Glossy LCD. I've heard that the only monitor color calibration that will 'work' with this monitor is Pantone ColorMunki.

Is this true? Does anyone have any experience with calibrating Apple's monitors?

    Thanks.

At my old job we had glossy screened iMacs and we used Huey Pro on it.

I am sure the colormunki will do fine for you, however, the statement that it is the only device to calibrate Apple displays is false.

I use the Gretag Macbeth (x-rite) i1 Display colorimeter, and it does the job on my macbook pro glossy screen. I also use it on my 24"iMac glossy screen.

    Hi,

as I'm thinking about finally calibrating my screen too, and it's also a glossy Apple iMac, I'd like to add a related question:

Has anyone compared the result of using the SuperCal calibration software with that of a hardware-assisted calibration system?

    Thanks, Colin
