Lens -- SHARPNESS
Hi
I have three prime lenses that I want to use for a function.Light is not a big problem as I have external flashes and other stuff .
Can you give me what value(s) or range of F I can get the sharpest Pics.
The lens I have are
Canon Lenses
EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Autofocus Lens
EF 50mm f/1.8 II Autofocus Lens
EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens
Telephoto EF 135mm f/2.0L USM Autofocus Lens
Thanks in advance

Personally, I tend to choose f-number based on depth of field. Sharpness doesn't really factor into it for me. But I'd pick these for sharpness:
24mm: f/2.8+
50mm: f/2.8+
100mm: wide open
135mm: f/2.8+

The two I own:
EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Autofocus Lens... anything over 2 that is in the middle of the DOF. Stay close to F/8 and the DOF is very forgiving.
EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens...It is all sharp, but the lens is at its best between F/5.6 and F/11. Wide open it will vignette on a FF camera but it will be sharp in the center.
There is so much more that goes in to a picture sharp than the F stop, that with those lenses it is more important to master the other things. Shutter speed and camera shake will hurt you more than having your lens wide open.
