Just Got My EF-S 10-22 Lens. It's Sharp!
I just got my 10-22 from a local photography shop this weekend. I haven't tried using it outside but I took shots of our dogs, and it's razor sharp! I was a bit skeptical on getting one of these EF-S since I got a 24-70L two years ago (and my, it's also sharp). I guess this wasn't a bad idea to grab a superwide angle lens. I got the lens together with a Kenko Pro1D 77mm thin protect filter and Hoya Pro1 77mm thin C. Polarizer (they ran out of Hoya UV filter so it's the next best one out there). I did notice some vignetting with using the c polarizer on top of protect filter but I guess they didn't thought about stacking filters on a UWA lens. Now to use it more this coming holiday season

I used my 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 this weekend, and it performed beautifully. It was an indispensable tool in a very confined space.
17mm, f/5, 1/60 sec, ISO 100
strobist: 1 Canon 580EX, above camera left pointed downward, 1/8 power, diffused by a 14" Lumodi beauty dish.

Lovely photo, Sean. I really like the 10-22mm as well.

Ralph,
Funny you open this post because I had ordered one about 3 days ago and I just got it delivered, no joke about 15 minutes ago.
And like many of you, I could not wait to try it....Office window...
7D, 10mm (10-22mm EF-S), 1/60 sec, f/4.5, ISO 100

Those were nice shots everyone! Here's one I took of our dog yesterday:

Set my 50D to Tv mode, 1/125 , 580EX II flash on (with diffuser plate on top, straight flash).
I'll try to use it this weekend on a local fireworks display here in our place. Glad I got my tripod for that.
