    Old flash, new camera

I've got an old flash that I used to use with my Minolta XG-1. I've just decided to move into the DSLR age - will the XSi have a jack that the flash can plug into? The flash has a cable with a 0.145"/3.6mm barrel and pin connector on one end and a 0.100"/2.5mm audio-stile jack on the other. The hot shoe has a single pin, just for the trigger. I know that I'll be missing out on the XSi's "smarts" when it comes to setting the flash and communicating, but it's a no-name flash that does a pretty decent job.

Give us the brand and model of the flash. Some older film flashes will fry your camera if you put it on the hotshoe....
