CF card suggestions?

I'm ordering my 5D MkIII kit on Saturday and I'll need a CF card for it. Looking for a 32gb. I've looked and found a 1000x by Lexmark for $125 on Amazon. Is this a good price/brand/speed, or what? What should I be looking for?

I have several of the cheaper 16gb Lexmar cards...they work perfectly in the 1D MKIV and the 1DX, no issues at all.

SanDisk or Lexar, IMO. I use all SanDisk (CF and SD, 12-14 cards total) and have had no issues.

The nice thing about SanDisk is they will replace the card if it ias corrupted. I do not believe Lexar will do the same (or at least that is what I was told by Norman Camera shop).

I have 4 sandisk CF cards, 1 Lexar CF card and 2 sandisk SD cards. Never had an issue with any of them. I haven't played with the speed rating yet on the 5DIII, but I can tell the difference when my 90 mB/s card is loaded vs my slower cards. So, 1000x (~150 mB/s) maybe overkill, but 800x isn't less expensive. You have to go down to 400x before the price drops for you and I think you'll want the speed of the 1000x vs the 400x. BTW, you may consider getting multiple 16 GB cards instead of a single 32 GB card. It is personal preference, but I like to spread out my images over multiple cards. That way if one fails I don't lose everything.

The Lexar cards are often offered in packs of two. I just ordered 2x 16GB Lexar 1000 CF cards, seemed the best deal for me. I prefer to have two 16GB vs only one 32GB

I stick with 8gb cards so that if it goes bad or gets lost I have not lost everything
I would rather have 8x4 than 1x32
Believe me cards do go bad and I could loose an entire wedding over one bad card

In the 5DIII I also use a 16gb SD card and use it as a backup for the CF cards.
This dual card function was one of the selling points of the 5DIII
Guess I grew up on CF and still use them as primary.

I had an 8GB Sandisk Extreme III SD card go bad, so yeah, even the "extreme" lifetime warranty cards can die... and it's not like we mis-treated the card. It stayed in the camera.
