I have been milking butterflies and haven't been near the computer, but back now. (Flickr milks butterflies when it is busy, I haven't been doing that really)

    My starter post is
    Portrait Bo Jangles.

I finally got a photo today of a very elusive animal -- a pine marten. They aren't rare, they are just incredibly shy and skittish. I've seen them only 3 times, and this was the first chance I had to get a photo. They are about the size of a house cat. The image isn't sharp unfortunately... I only had 5 seconds with it and had to dive over to the opposite side of the car with the big lens. So I'm guessing the problem is a bit of camera movement. Anyhow, I'm still pretty happy!

: ) When I was a little kid, our neighbor had Ferrets (he used them to hunt rabbits) - very cute and cuddly. Only sometimes they bite - I guess the earlobes of the teenage babysitter to whom I showed them were just too tempting.

Ha ha yes and if I can't get points for Technical Merit then I'll certainly try for Artistic Impression... maybe the Russian judge will cut me some slack
