good story the same goes for my nifty fifty, I passed a fife and decided to jump out and get pics (newspaper) and I smashed it on my car window (audi) and it chipped a small small piece of glass off of the window and the nifty fifty was fine

Not for me, my XTI had a loose screw and fried itself with in a year and a half. Thats why I'm upgrading to something more durable.

That sucks man, i'm sorry! I am glad my XTi hasn't fried, as I don't have money to buy a new body at the moment. (nor glass for that matter)

My camera is dead. About 5-6 months ago too. There was a slight ticking noise when I moved or shook my camera but right before I was ready to press the shutter button on some humming birds in sweet light it turned off like there was no power. I took the camera apart and founda small loose srew that touched the back main board and friedthe camera. Now I don't have camera right now but I will get one in the near future.
