    Congratulations Andy Stringer--Assignment #66: Weather

On behalf of nvitalephotography, I would like to present the topic for Assignment #66: Weather.

    As described by Nick:

For me living in Florida, this time of year is all about the weather. The thunderstorms are like clockwork and often become the subject of many of my shots. For this assignment, show us your best shots that involve the weather. This doesn't need to be a photograph of an actual storm or anything but the weather should be an important element in the shot or at least set the mood. Anything from some crazy clouds, to a photo of a fresh layer of snow, to a couple kissing in the rain, to a sunset made possible from amazing clouds.

    The Finalists:

    Jayson "Frosty Willows"

    Erno James "Mountain and Mist"

Andy Stringer "King Penguins in a Blizzard"

    Good Luck!

I'll still work on getting an original shot for this assignment, but for now, the first is my entry:

Great picture erno. It's not easy to get an original one of this mountain.

Lots of greats atmospheric shots so far. Keep them coming.

Imagine some of the most extreme weather conditions on earth, storm force winds and very low temperatures with no shelter anywhere. That's what penguins (and their photographers) have to put up with.

Not a lot of weather other than a cold front lately. So I will pull one from the archives:
