    Northern Lights???

It looks like recent solar activity (largest solar flare in 4 years)may make the northern lights visable innorthern climatestonight and tomorrow night. With a quick search I also found this website that shows moonrise/moonset times:

    Some more searches:

It looks like we are clouding up here in New Hampshire by 9 pm, but I'll try to look out before then.

    Thanks,

You got me exited Brant, but I googled a little bit for news in my area and it seems that chances are very little that I'd be able to see it. So I'll have to skip it, since I have to get up early tomorrow.

I do hope to see some photos soon though [A] I know there are some astro-photographers here []

Jan.....sorry to hear that.I am notsure this will amount to anything in my area either. It sounded like a 30% chance that there will be something to see, but then the cloudsor the moon could interfere. But there is a 48 hr window, I'll check it out a couple of time between tonight and tomorrow night. Hopefully it works out for someone. []

Unfortunately nothing from me [] I was planning on driving farther north and away from light pollution last night but something came up so the best I could do was sit on my deck all night with the camera pointing north [:^)]
