    Good, relatively cheap, monopod?

I've done a little looking around and came across the Opetka M900. A lot of the reviews suggested getting a small ball head for it too, mostly suggesting the Opetka TH40 to go along with it. Is the ball head really necessary? Also, is there a better choice for under $100? Together, those two would cost me about $81

On my phone and forgot to ask if anyone had any experience with this particular monopod, as well if they have any other suggestions.

They make specific heads for a monopod. Panning is taken care of by just pivoting in place, but to do up and down stuff (unless it's really far away), you need more adjustment than just tilting your mono. So yes, you might/prolly need a head of some sort. Never used the brand you listed.
