Sigma 100-300 review?

I'm awaiting eagerly to a review of this lens:



Sigma 100-300 EX DG HSM


Some said that it is a sharp lens and have a good rating, however haven't been mentioned/reviewed here.


Anyone cares to give input ?
Considering either this one or Canon 70-200 F/4


The extra length by 100mm could prove worthy.

I traded my Canon 70-200 f/4 for a Sigma 100-300 f/4 and never looked back. The image quality of the 100-300 isn't quite as good as the 70-200 f/4, but it's close. The range is much better for me. The 100-300 is much bigger...it's about the same size and weight as the Canon 70-200 f/2.8s, and includes a tripod collar.


I'd also like to see Bryan do a review of this lens...it seems to be a hidden gem of the Sigma lineup.
