took the picture last new year's eve. Used an XTi an 24-70 2.8. lens was really short had to do big time cropping of the image just to be able to show details.

looks pretty sharp to me. do you have a linger lens.. i get good moon shots with my 70-200 2.8 even with more cropping. i think all you need is a longer lens and youll be set lol

Even 200mm is pretty short for a picture of only the moon.
The highlights are blown out, use levels to bring them down.A longer lens will greatly help!!
