I'm bouncing off the walls here. Been running around shooting away for about a half hour.Compared to my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8this think is silent. Compared to my13 year old Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 II USM...OK, well there is no real comparison there.I'll just say that the next time that old POS gets mounted it will be on someone else's camera.


Of course I would have liked to have IS but after a lengthycost/benefit analysis I determined thata non-IS today beats the heck out ofan IS at some indefinite point inthe all toodistant future.
