Anyone have a suggestion on the best place to get the 2CR5 6v battery for the Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2?
Is there any brandI should avoid?

Target and Wal-Mart have them for about 9-10 bucks. Best Buy has them for a couple bucks more I think. I think the only brand I've seen is Energizer and I've had no issues. In an emergency I bought a Radio Shack brand from RS for about 14 bucks. It seem to last as long as Energizer.
Buy 2 at a time. They die without warning and it can be embarrassing to have one go dead in the middle of a shoot and not have a back up.
Thanks, my ST-E2 is due to arrive tomorrow and just like Brian warned I forgot to order a battery with it. [:P]
After reading several user reviews I was concerned that they may be difficult to find.
Adorama has Kodak Max for $5.95 but even for just one4-6 day shipping is $5.00. I'm casual enough at this point I'll probably pick one up at Wal-Mart tomorrow and tack one on to my next Adorama order. (Which, hopefully, will be a pair oflight stands and umbrellas soon.)

Fry's electronics normally stock the Sony Brand for 4.95/5.95. I use these in a Contax 645 and they last as well as other brands, not sure about the transmitter use.
