Like: lots of extension for not much money.

Dislike: there is a little play when all three are stacked and used with a heavyish lens. This is a minor issue.

i haven't used them, but i believe they lack autofocus and without a split prism viewfinder form the manual focus era, it would be more difficult

I started using them a couple of weeks ago now an they work really well. Perfect as a cheap macro option. Here's a pic I took with them just last week. 40D, all three Kenko Tubes stacked, 50mm f/1.8, home made reflector/ diffuser. The spider is sitting on a toothpick so it's extremely small - the image is only very slightly cropped from memory. They are a good investment and nice to have when you need to reduce your MFD with almost any lens.

Like anything else, you need to work with them to get the best execution and understand the best combo for any given lens and the impact they have on DOH and etc.

i loved using them for macro work. they go great with almost any lens, especially the 50's, but one thing that you have to understand....once they are on, your lens will not work for normal focus, i.e., taking casual shots. you have to take them off to restore normal focus range when not shooting macro. not a big deal if you're doing strictly macro.

When using them (especially stacked), the lens will focus so closely that you will probably want to manually focus anyway. Their build quality is fine, they just didn't look as nice as the Canons.
